EYE-OPENER OF THE WEEK: All men of action are dreamers. James Hunter

KEY DATES: 

1. During the second class period of this week, you will have a quiz on chapters 19 and 20.  You should be able to reproduce three graphs from Professor Picker’s talk: the competitive outcome, the monopoly outcome, and the key merger tradeoff. You will find these graphs under “Blogroll” in the right hand column of this blog.

2. On Monday, March 3, you will have a MICRO FINAL. It will be fifty multiple choice  questions and the universe of these questions will be those you have been asked since the year began. There will also be some BASIC graphs that we have asked  you to draw.

3. On Friday, March 7, Charlie Wheelan will discuss possible new government economic policy in the next administration.

CLASS ONE: we  will discuss chapter 20.

CLASS TWO: Quiz on chapters 19 and 20.  HOMEWORK: read chapter 21 up to ‘Tariffs and Quotas.”

CLASS THREE; we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: finish chapter 21

CLASS FOUR: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: prepare for FINAL.
