KEY DATE:

1. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Mollie Simon’s uncle is going to speak to the 7th and 8th periods about the financial crisis. First period will not meet but should attend either the 7th or 8th period econ. class.

2. On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Jason Tyler from Ariel Capital Management and a former Labby will speak on value investing to all three classes.

3. During the last class period of the week of Nov. 17, we will have a quiz on chapters 9 and 10, the handouts, and the two guest speakers.

4. On Tuesday, Nov. 25th, your research papers are due. They should be five to six pages long, be on some aspect of the financial crisis, and have a thesis. Of course, it will have plenty of footnotes and a bibliography.

CLASS ONE: I will return your tests and we will discuss the first half of chapter 9. HOMEWORK: finish the chapter.

CLASS TWO: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: handouts on what Obama should do immediately.

CLASS THREE: we will discuss the reading.

CLASS FOUR: Mollie Simon’s uncle will speak on the financial crisis to periods 7 and 8. First period will not meet but you should try to attend either period 7 or 8. The talk will be on the next quiz.we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: read chapter 10.
