EYE-OPENER OF THE WEEK: Kindness is a hard thing to give away. It usually comes back to you.

1. This Friday we will have a quiz on chapter 10 and the Krugman articles. Watch for quiz keys Thursday night.

CLASS ONE: we will read several recent columns by Paul Krugman that focus on his criticism of the Geithner bank rescue plan. HOMEWORK: read chapter 10 up until “The Curcular Flow Model and the Intuition behind the Multiplier Process.”

CLASS TWO: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: finish the chapter.

CLASS THREE: we will discuss the reading.

CLASS FOUR: QUIZ on chapter 10 and the Krugman articles. HOMEWORK: read chapter 11 up until “How Banks Create Money.”
