The Lab NK Council is committed to hosting parents only events that foster a better sense of community between Lab N/K parents for and about our children. Our cohort of children will continue to have opportunities to learn, work and play with each other in the same classes, school events, student clubs and sports endeavors time and again as they progress through their years at Lab. So that we can get to know each other better, share our thoughts, plans and ideas about our families’ Lab experiences, we invite you to a Parents’ Night Out Dinner, scheduled Wednesday evening on May 6th, 2009 at Park52 restaurant in Hyde Park.

Even if your child will be advancing to 1st grade in the fall, participating in community building events like this will facilitate our children’s positive school engagement. Last winter, Unit 6 parents were able to ‘test drive’ a similar event at Marche restaurant. This was a very well attended and fun event that received positive feedback. The N/K Council plans to organize more social events like these earlier in the school year.
