Please look the seminar offerings at http://www.ber.org. If there BER seminars are any in the Chicago area that you would like to go attend, please fill out a registration form, say you will pay by check, and bring the form to me by the end of this week. Title IIA funds will cover these workshops. We need time to process the paperwork, so look at workshops after Thanksgiving. You can leave the forms for me on my desk in Judd 105, in the mailroom, or in my inbox in the math or science office. Then drop me an email to tell me you have left the registration form so I will know to look for it. Thanks. Susan

Embodying Witness: Art & Learning in Response to Genocide
This workshop, in partnership with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, will
emphasize experiential learning through movement and art-driven dialogue.
Educators will think deeply about how the choices people make individually
and collectively shape a society. The story of Raphael Lemkin will be
explored as an illustration of the courage and initiative that are needed
to protect democracy and human rights. We will model methodology in which
the body illuminates text and in which imagery and spoken word deepen
understanding.
