The 7th Grade Baseball Team picked up where they left off during Tuesday’s victory against Morgan Park Academy with an impressive 13-0 victory against Parker Academy at Waveland Field (the Maroons are now 2-1 for the season). With today’s victory, the Maroons have outscored their opponents 30-0 in their last two outings. Daniel Asplin spearheaded today’s win with his work on the mound and at the plate. Daniel was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and 1 run scored. On the mound, Daniel pitched a complete game with 7 punch-outs while surrendering only 3 hits in 4 innings of work. Duncan Weinstein (2 for 3, 4 RBI’s, 1 run scored) and Lucas Bucheim-Jurrison (1 for 2, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored) also contributed heavily to today’s win. The Maroons will try to continue their winning ways as they face Morgan Park Academy next Monday (5/12) at MPA.
