The 8th grade boys soccer team kicked off their season Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Hardy Prep. The Maroons came out to a slow start, losing the battle for time of possession throughout the first half and surviving several close scoring chances. In the second half, though, the team emerged with a more focused, aggressive attack that kept Hardy Prep on its heels. Steven Glick led off the scoring midway through the second half, and Ryan Selig capitalized on a cross from Matt Lawrence minutes later. The team’s next game is away at Parker this Friday at 4:30 PM–come out and cheer them on against their conference rivals!
