On LFA’s perfectly trimmed field, U-High played one of their most impressive games. After going down 1-0 in the games opening minutes, the Maroons quickly changed the games current in their favor. Strong defense translated into efficient offense as U-High established a few great scoring opportunities the first half. Forward Rafi Kahn capitalized on a fast break opportunity, speeding past the slower LFA defense on way to equalizing the score. During the second half, U-High kept their skillful play going and forced LFA to rise to the occasion. Maintaining a strong presence in the opponents 18 yard box, U-High easily came across scoring chances during the second half. Forward Patrick Philizaire confidently challenged the keeper in the air and headed a spectacular ball in the back of the next, providing the game’s deciding goal. Minutes from the games conclusion, U-High netted a final goal. Leaving no doubt to who was the better team that day.
