This Monday afternoon the 7th and 8th grade girls soccer teams played Francis Parker at home on Jackman Field.  The 8th grade led off with a defensive battle that ended in a 0-0 tie.  The seventh grade followed, with Lillian Eckstein scoring halfway through the first half to give the Maroons the lead.  Just before the end of the first half, Parker tied the game on a breakaway.  Despite several scoring opportunities and good offensive pressure, the 7th graders were unable to regain the lead, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.  Both teams look forward to their rematch at Parker on Monday, May 18th.  As always, thanks to all those parents and fans who came out to cheer the team on!
