A long road trip to Lake Forest and a match-up with the Caxys, would be the final test for this year’s U-High JV girls soccer team.

The Maroons played excellent defense, were able to dominate the possession and mounted several attacks. A corner kick for the Caxys in the first half, and the ensuing header, accounted for the lone goal of the game.

Both coaches are very impressed with the growth the players have shown over the season. The core of sophomores who have been with the team for two years have been great leaders and teammates. Thank you Miki Verma, Connie He, Amy Northrup, Sheba Nelson, Emmy Erhmann and keeper Emily Roberts. And additional thanks to the other players who worked to earn their own roles on the team: Leslie Kamel, Cathy Ludwig, Katherine Garvey, Catherine Yunis, Katelyn Suchyta, Lexie Barber,  Maggie Carton and Crystal Maciel.
