JV Baseball Improves Despite Loss

The JV Baseball team saw measurable improvement at the plate and in the field during the 2 losses against North Shore on 5/5 and Parker 5/7. At North Shore, Matt Sobel pitched a good game through 5 innings, but some untimely errors broke the game open by scoring 6 runs. Luiz Saldana was the only bright spot by hitting a monster home run with a runner on. Nick Phalen was pitch his first HS game and let up no runs. At Parker, an abbreviated game cut short our attempt come back. We lost 3-2, but the errors were limited and Mac Sinclair pitched a gem. Matt Sobel hit a home run in the 3rd inning with a man on. With a runner on 3rd to tie the game, Max Loy grounded out to end the game.
