Down 2-0 at for the first few innings, Matt Sobel settled down and pitched what was probably the best game of his career. The Maroons defense was great- no errors. Max Loy and Jason Whitaker did a flawless job in the outfield. Nick Phalen caught two pop-ups at first and saved many balls in the dirt at first base. Offensively, the Maroons started off slowly. Jason Whitaker singled to start the rally, and then stole 2nd and 3rd. Mario Gage slid into second base like Rickey Henderson and later scored which eventually became the game winner. JV wins 3-2 over Parker to end the season. Great Job!
