The 7th grade boys soccer team added to Monday’s victory against Francis Parker with a 6-0 win over Morgan Park Wednesday evening. Sean Selig started the scoring off early in the fifth minute, burying a rebound off the post from a cross from James Sinclair. Selig scored again minutes later by following his own shot and finishing on a rebound from the goalie. Jeffrey Jou scored his first goal of the season near the end of the first half, displaying heads up play by finishing on a redirected ball from Morgan Park in the box. The Maroons again showed moments of defensive inattention in the final minutes of the first half, but they started the second half strong, with Philip Gianfortune scoring his first goal of the season on a beautiful pass from Max Smith. Sean Selig scored his third goal and Carl Forhan scored as well to bring the final score to 6-0. The Maroons’ next game will be at home against Hardy Prep on Tuesday, September 29th. Thanks to all the friends and family who came out to cheer the team on to its second win in a row!
