The 7th grade boys soccer team defeated Hardy Prep Tuesday afternoon in front of a big crowd of fans.  Carl Fohran scored first midway through the first half.  Hardy Prep answered back just before halftime to tie the game.  The Maroons fought back in the second half, redoubling their intensity and consistently keeping the ball on Hardy Prep’s half of the field.  Defensemen David Browne, David Yunis, and James Sinclair anchored the team’s offensive pressure, and goalkeeper Henry Utset made a handful of saves to neutralize Hardy Prep’s attacks.  Sean Selig scored two goals in the second half to bring the final score to 3-1.  The Maroons travel to Morgan Park this Friday in hopes of continuing their win streak.  Thanks to all those who came out to cheer the team on to victory!
