Zeke Upshaw gave a verbal commitment to play for Illinois State University in Bloomington, Illinois in 2009-2010. This is the first Division 1 basketball recruit to come out of lab for some years. We here at Lab are excited and proud of all of Zeke’s accomplishments. Good Redbirds! Go Maroons!

The Maroons were led by Zeke Upshaw’s 36 points, and 18 rebounds, by far his best game of the year. Markie Room and Billy Stevenson each chipped in 4 points for U-High. The Maroons are 12-9 on the season, 8-3 in the ISL.

Daniel Levine (15 points) helped spark a 4th quarter comeback, in this defensive battle. Michael Turner (7 points) and Mark Woerner (4 points) also contributed to the victory. The Maroons are 14-3 on the season.

The Maroons dropped a heartbreaker to Ralph Ellison Charter School. Daniel Levine led all scorers with 13. Michael Turner scored 9, and Nate Grant dropped 5 for the Maroons, 12-3 on the season.

I was a hard fought victory for the JV team. It was a balanced attack with Mike Turner, Daniel Levine , and Ben Bucheim all scoring 14 points each. The win improved the JV team to a 11-3 overall record and (8-1) in the conference. Maroon Pride! Hard Work!
