PowerPoint + DiLL

We continue to discover new and innovative ways to use DiLL here in the lab. Just last week, French teacher Diane Jackson prepared a PowerPoint for her students that served as a visual prompt for an oral review of vocabulary and other basic facts having to do with the German occupation of France during World War II.

This is what the presentation looked like (click pause to read each slide):

And here is a sampling of the students’ responses to the slides, recorded in DiLL.

Hooray for these 7th grade students and Mme. Jackson’s willingness to try something new in the classroom!

I should also take this opportunity to applaud the fine job that Mme. Jackson has done all this year as Lab Liaison. She’s been enthusiastic, helpful, and willing to try new ideas and tackle new challenges, as we’ve worked together with the department to make the Lab a better place. I couldn’t do what I do without her support and good energy. Merci, Mme!
