Quick summary of points discussed:

1. For November 13 Faculty Development, Diane will talk about Yabla & pass out chocolate (2 min) We’re hoping that Rob could show a piece of the Leopard training video on the Apple Site and talk a little bit about it. He can talk about PowerSchool as well, if he likes. (8 min) Curt to lead a short discussion on general feedback, how 1:1 might affect language pedagogy in the classroom, or talk about whatever he has on his mind. (10-15 min)
2. For December 11 Faculty Development, we are planning to kick off the diigo.com social bookmarking campaign, so teachers can start to bookmark over the break
3. The Costa Rica, Germany, & France trips happen the second half of June. Any faculty development we do over the summer would probably be best done in early August, when teachers start to pop in anyway. We discussed the possibility of having several workshop themes and getting confirmed sign-ups beforehand, so that Allison knows who is coming for which groups. Half-Day classes of 5-6 teachers each would probably be most effective.
4. Steve will give Allison compiled list of classes and schedules so that she can start to visit classrooms
5. Yabla license has been purchased. Allison to get usernames/passwords and post on blog somewhere
6. Filmmaking club will use G5 machines from 12:20 to 1:00pm on Wednesdays (High School Lunch)
7. Steve mentioned eventually compiling clips of classroom activities from the entire department to feature at open houses.
8. Scheduled “Bi-Weekly” Meetings for the rest of the Fall: November 8, November 29, December 13 (1:35pm - 2:05 pm)
